1. Reviews: Monitoring reviews outcome [court judgements], assessing compliance with the established criteria and reporting on same, so as to ensure proper achievement of the CCMA strategic objective on reviews. 2. Litigation: Giving legal opinions Reffering contempt ruling to the labour court in terms of section 142(9) Instituting and defending legal action on behalf of and against the CCMA, including reviews, wherein cost orders are sought against the commission and / or the commissioner Drafting court papers Court attendance Liasing with attorneys Representing the CCMA in matters referred to private arbitration General support to the senior manager: litigation and contracts 3. Contracts Drafting and / or reviewing staff related contracts Drafting and / or reviewing training SLA’s Reviewing venue booking contracts Drafting and / or reviewing letters of awards, supplier termination letters, breach letters, deviations and etc. General support to the senior manager: litigation and contracts
LLB Admitted attorney 3 years post admission experience, 2 of which, were within a law firm Litigation experience [including court appearance and drafting of court papers] Experience in drafting and settling of contracts Knowledge and understanding of employment law, the law of contracts and court rules and procedures
